Not only are you helping the environment by recycling your child's unused or outgrown items, but you can also earn money or credit toward future purchases. In addition, you can feel good knowing that your items are helping to provide an affordable alternative for your friends and neighbors.
Appointments
The Kids Echo accepts merchandise by appointment only! Sorry, but we are unable to accept any drop-offs.
Pricing
All items are priced at the discretion of the Kids Echo. Items may be reduced or discounted at any time.
Unsold Items
All unsold items must be picked up prior to the end of the season sale. Sale dates are posted online and in-store.
Tips and Guidelines for Consigning
Appointment Scheduling
While we do our best to have enough appointments available, we can sometimes run out of clothing appointments very quickly. We have many consignors and new people interested in consigning with us. Consignment appointments are made online and the online appointment calendar is loaded three times each year. January 1st - Spring/Summer Appointments; June 1st - Fall Appointments; and September 1st - Winter appointments. Appointments book very quickly, which means you need to make your appointment online as soon as the schedule opens. So, mark your calendar for January 1, June 1 & September 1 to schedule your appointment online. Clothing appointments are limited to 40 pieces per appointment. All items must be carefully checked for damage, freshly laundered and ironed.
Appointments for Fall and Winter clothing
The Kids Echo will begin booking appointments for fall clothing on June 1st each year and appointments for winter clothing on September 1st each year. The primary difference between fall and winter clothing is that we do not accept heavy winter coats, buntings, snowsuits, winter boots or holiday clothing (Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's) during fall appointments. Appointments for Spring and Summer clothing
The Kids Echo will begin booking appointments for spring/summer clothing on January 1st each year. You can schedule your appointment online by using the Schedule Your Appointment button above.
Appointments for Furniture, Toys and Baby Accessories
The Kids Echo accepts appointments for furniture, toys, and baby accessories, as needed and as space permits. Appointments are limited, so please call or stop by to set up your appointment. We recommend that you send us a list of your items in advance.
Clothing
All clothing and clothing accessories MUST BE FRESHLY LAUNDERED AND IRONED. DO NOT HANG OR FOLD CLOTHING - please lay unfolded items flat in a large box or tub. We can no longer accept items that are not ironed or items that are brought in plastic bags due to wrinkling that may occur.
Giving Back to the Community
The Kids Echo works locally to give back to the community in many ways. Each year the Kids Echo staff sorts, packages, and delivers more than 2000 pieces of clothing to families and organizations in need. With the help of our consignors, we are able to donate unsold items and help make a difference! And, all items stay local! Items are provided locally to various school nurses, NICU babies and families in need, and charitable organizations such as Gifts to Give and Katelynn's Closet .
In addition, each season the Kids Echo selects a local group to benefit from our LOOTS program. LOOTS is an acronym for 'Local Organization Of The Season'. The Kids Echo accepts donations of clothing and gear and processes those items under an account created specifically for the group. In the beginning, donations were simply items that came from my own children's closets. But, over the past few years, many generous consignors have stepped forward each season to contribute to the program. At the end of the season the group not only receives a check for the full amount of donated items sold, but the Kids Echo also provides a match donation up to the nearest $100.00.
